A little about me
Within the therapy room
Therapy with me is a conversation, not just nods and “How does that make you feel?” I talk more than your average therapist because healing happens through real, human connection. I show up as my authentic self—warm, engaged, and in this with you. I’m not just a distant observer; I’m in this with you. I want you to feel like you’re sitting with another human—not a blank slate.
Let’s be real—therapy can get messy. We’ll unpack a lot, but you’re always in control of your own process. Your comfort and safety come first. Whether you’re ready to dive deep or need time to ease in, I’ll meet you where you are—offering both support and a gentle push when it feels right. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered.
I specialize in trauma, complicated grief, anxiety, depression, trust and intimacy issues, and self-esteem challenges, tailoring each session to your unique needs. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and more.
Therapy isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about having a space where you can explore, process, and just be. No matter where you are in your journey, I’ll be right there with you.
Outside the therapy room
Born and raised in Florida, my childhood was filled with beach days, inevitable sunburns, and the simple joy of a perfectly crafted Pub Sub. Summers in the Adirondacks sparked my love for hiking, campfires, and lazy lake days. As my grandfather always said, “If you’re lucky enough to live at the lake, you’re lucky enough!”
After earning my degree at Florida State University (Go ‘Noles!), I traded Birkenstocks for snow boots and moved to Chicago for grad school at Northwestern. Spoiler alert: winter and I were not a match. So, my husband and I packed up and headed west, and now we call Greater Los Angeles home.
Outside of therapy, you’ll almost always find me with a coffee in hand—yes, even in session. I love hiking, skiing (surprising for a Floridian!), and indulging in my guilty pleasures: college football, true-crime documentaries, and Bravo. What keeps me grounded? Movement, creativity, and connection. Floral arranging, Pilates, running, swimming, and traveling whenever I can all help me reset and recharge. Music has also been a lifelong love—I was classically trained on clarinet and bass clarinet for over 15 years and even met my husband in college marching band.
Most of all, I love spending time with my husband and our two special-needs dogs, Sadie and Bode. They’re my constant source of joy, occasional co-therapists, and yes, they’re HIPAA compliant!
I believe a balanced therapist is a better therapist. My hope is that through our work together, you can feel just as steady and supported in your own life. And of course, coffee is always part of the journey.
People often ask why I became a therapist, and to answer that, let’s go back a couple of decades.
As a young girl, I carried a lot, navigating my own personal experiences with trauma that shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. I often felt as though I faded into the background, blending in without ever being truly seen. That feeling of invisibility left me with a profound understanding of how vital it is to be recognized and valued, especially in moments of struggle.
Having experienced firsthand how unseen pain can impact someone’s life, I understand the power of feeling truly seen. Trauma work is not just about processing past experiences; it’s about creating a safe space where each person can feel valued, heard, and empowered to rebuild. I am dedicated to helping my clients work through the layers of their own journeys, creating room for growth, resilience, and self-acceptance. My mission is to ensure that others feel seen, valued, and supported as they navigate their healing, discovering the profound relief that comes from being truly seen and understood.
